Chiropractic adjustments in Charlotte — done by a diagnostician first.
Six techniques. One goal: find what's actually wrong and fix it efficiently.
What it actually does
An adjustment restores joint motion that restriction or guarding has taken away. Tight muscles can't do this on their own — they're often holding a joint out of proper position in the first place. The adjustment resets the joint, which allows the surrounding tissue to finally release.
What makes Just Peachy different
Most chiropractors learn one technique. I'm Palmer Package certified, which means I use six:
- Diversified — most common, most versatile
- Gonstead — specific and precise, great for lumbar issues
- Activator — instrument-assisted, gentler for certain presentations
- Drop-table (Thompson) — uses gravity assist for efficiency
- SOT (Sacro-Occipital Technique) — pelvis and cranial focus
I choose the technique based on your body, not habit.
When I use it — Dr. Britt's take
Lower-back pain with guarding: Diversified plus soft-tissue release. The adjustment comes last, not first.
First-trimester nausea and SI joint pain: Webster technique, modified positioning, no table drop.
Chronic tech neck: Cervical adjustments paired with dry needling on the sub-occipitals. Three to four visits.
What to expect
Your first adjustment takes about fifteen minutes and is part of your initial visit. I'll explain what I'm doing before I do it. You may hear a pop — that's nitrogen gas releasing from the joint, not bones cracking. Most patients feel immediate relief. Some feel mild soreness for 24 hours, like after a new workout.
Pricing: First visit $125 (includes exam + treatment) · Follow-up $50 standard · $75 with bodywork
Frequently Asked Questions
Is chiropractic safe?
Yes. Serious adverse events from chiropractic are extremely rare — rarer than complications from common over-the-counter pain medications. I screen every new patient for contraindications.
Will I need to keep coming back forever?
No. That's a business model, not a treatment philosophy. Most of my patients are out in 4–6 visits.
Do you adjust the neck?
Yes, when it's appropriate. I use multiple cervical techniques and choose based on what's safest for your presentation.
Does it hurt?
Rarely. Most people feel immediate relief. Soreness for 24 hours is normal and expected.
What if I've had surgery?
Tell me which procedure and when during intake. Some post-surgical presentations respond very well to chiropractic. Others require modified technique or referral back to your surgeon.
