Here's exactly what happens. No surprises, no upsells, no waiting room paperwork that takes longer than your visit.
Most of the women who book with me have already had at least one bad experience with a chiropractor or an orthopedist. So I want you to know exactly what you're walking into.
Your first visit
Thirty minutes. $125. Cash, HSA, or FSA — we don't take insurance, and there's a section below explaining why that's actually better for you.
About fifteen minutes of that time is you talking and me listening. We figure out what's actually going on, what's been tried, and what your goals are. The remaining time is a full physical exam and your first treatment — adjustment, dry needling, cupping, soft-tissue work, whatever your body actually needs.
You will not be sold a forty-visit plan. You will not be told your spine is degenerating. You will not be guilted into 'maintenance care.' If your problem can be solved in three visits, we'll solve it in three.
Follow-up visits
Standard adjustment: $50 (10 minutes). Adjustment + bodywork: $75 (15 minutes). Most patients come 2–6 times total. You'll always know what's next and why.
How to prepare
Wear something you can move in. Bring a list of what's been tried — even if it didn't work. If you have a recent imaging report (MRI, X-ray from another provider), bring it. If you don't, you don't need to get one before booking.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
No, and that's intentional. I'm a cash-pay practice. Most insurance plans cover 8–12 visits a year and require a chiropractor to over-document and stretch out treatment to get reimbursed — the exact opposite of how I practice. Charging cash means I can spend 30 minutes with you on the first visit instead of 8, and I can discharge you in 4–6 visits instead of 24. Most patients save money in the long run. You can submit your superbill to your insurance for partial reimbursement, and HSA/FSA cards are accepted.
How much does a visit cost?
First visit: $125 (30 minutes — full exam, intake, and treatment). Standard adjustment: $50 (10 minutes). Adjustment + bodywork (cupping, dry needling, scraping, or taping): $75 (15 minutes).
How many visits will I need?
Most patients are out in 4–6 visits. Some need 2. A small handful need 8–10. I'll have a real estimate for you at the end of your first visit, based on what I find — not based on a package I'm trying to sell.
Do you do X-rays?
Almost never. The American College of Radiology and the American Chiropractic Association both recommend against routine X-rays for low-back pain. I follow that guidance. If your case shows red flags that warrant imaging — fewer than 5% do — I'll refer you out for it.
What kinds of techniques do you use?
I'm Palmer Package certified, which means I use multiple adjusting techniques — Diversified, Gonstead, Activator, drop-table, Thompson, and SOT. I also offer dry needling, cupping, muscle scraping (IASTM), and Kinesio taping when they're the right tool. I'll explain what I'm using and why before I do it.
Do you treat pregnant patients?
Yes. I'm trained in prenatal chiropractic care, including the Webster technique. I work alongside (not instead of) your OB and pelvic-floor PT.
Where are you located?
6853 Fairview Road, Suite 100C, Charlotte, NC 28210. We're in the SouthPark area, with easy access from Dilworth, Myers Park, Ballantyne, and South End. Free parking.
Can I bring my partner / sister / friend?
Yes. The waiting room is small but very comfortable. Mei (the dog) will greet them.
What if I've never been to a chiropractor before?
That's a feature, not a bug. The first 15 minutes are designed for first-timers. You don't need to know anything coming in. I'll explain everything before I do it.
